Climate adaptation and green transition often require decisions that directly affect people’s everyday lives, property, and local communities. How do we balance professional assessments of what is necessary and consideration for citizens’ experiences, values, and concerns? Through a case study of strategic withdrawal, we examine the tension between expert roles, citizen involvement and responsible decision-making within this workshop.
